Where it sticks — and where it does not

The stickers are self-adhesive and hold on wood, glass, plastic, paper and most other non-metal surfaces. They will not work on metal: the metal blocks the field, so keep them off steel tables, fridges and metal cases.

They are scratch-resistant, water-resistant and oil-resistant enough for daily handling, but they are not meant to be soaked.

Which chip to choose

NTAG213 holds 144 bytes, NTAG215 holds 504 and NTAG216 holds 888 — any of the three is more than enough for a URL. Choose a larger chip if you want to store more than a link, such as a vCard or a short block of text.

Each chip comes in a 5-piece, a 50-piece and a 100-piece pack.

Reading it

On iPhone, hold the top of the phone to the sticker. On Android, most phones read from the middle of the back. On iOS the phone has to be unlocked before the tag will be read.
